This new idea seems odd when other writing experts say that the reading public (a small bit of the total unfortunately) wants shorter pieces and we’re taught to write tight and concise. Even novels are getting shorter — not everyone can read a 600 pager or a 12 minute Medium piece.

There is only so much time in the day. I would rather read several good shorter pieces than one long,“ho-hum” piece.
