Speaking in the Rose Garden…

Not such a big deal if I can do it.

I spoke in the Rose Garden almost thirty years ago; it was the beginning of the Clinton Administration — the first one, the one where Hillary was charged with reviewing our health care system.

The First Lady had recently lost her father and I had written a letter of condolence to her, telling her that, as an RN, how I’d cared for my mother during her last few weeks and how, in their small community in West Virginia, there were few resources.
