Save Yourself and Not the World

Let me begin by saying I am not a self-help guru. I cannot teach you to use your laptop to gain fame and fortune. You won’t see me in online videos on entrepreneurship, unless it’s the do-not-do-this part. What I can do (I hope in most of my posts) is show you that no matter how you feel about yourself and/or your life, you are not alone in those feelings.

I bring more than seventy years of angst to the table.

So let’s get going….

I’m broken, just not in a lot of pieces that you can see.

I say I’m broken because I have so many issues to fix in my old lady psyche.

Maybe some of them are your issues, too.

Maybe we can help each other out, here.

You show me your neuroses and I’ll show you mine-type of therapy.

Today I’m starting with my idea that I have to save the world. Remember the line from the television show, Heroes: “Save the cheerleader and save the world.”

Well, the Mitzi-line would be “Save the _________ — fill in the blank- and save the world.”

Let me explain by going back about sixty years.
