Reading or Not…

Last year I read over 100 books and gifted myself with the T shirt pictured above. So far this year I have read one book what has happened to my reading?

Books and reading were always the one of the most important things in my life. I had so many favorite authors and I would pick up their books immediately. Last year I went through almost everyone of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child’s Pendergast series. Even when I was in the hospital I read.

It wasn’t the pain — that had gone after my surgery in October; however, pain returned when I developed a rotator cuff tough tear from therapy that wasn’t necessary. It might have been because my glasses were poor after breaking them during a fall. Or maybe it was because my concentration was less than it had been the previous year.

Whatever the reason for my lack of reading this year, I find that I am missing the other worlds that I used to inhabit frequently.

I am trying to rectify the situation.
