Empty Bucket List? Almost…
At the age of 75, after months of physical issues, doctors’ visits, surgeries. I decided it was time to reevaluate my Bucket List.
I was surprised by what I found.
I had no list or at least the list was very short.
Original list is now what I’ve done:
1. Tour England — my mother’s ancestorial home. And I’ve always read English history.
Six trips to England including a railroad trip over the countryside, showing London to my daughter, standing inside Stonehenge three times, walking though several Cathedrals. And as an amateur Arthurian scholar: I wanted to spend time in Glastonbury, Somerset County, where I walked High Street, sat in the Abbey Grounds, researched Arthurian stories, meditated in the Chalice Well grounds. I’d even climbed the Tor and Wearyall Hill. In fact, I’d visited those sacred places many times.
2. An Alaskan cruise — taken with my daughter. We saw a bear cub, glaciers, and eagles up close and a beautiful state.
3. Attend Writers Conferences — I’d gone to many from Horror Writers to Mystery Writers and Romance Writers — meeting Stephen King, Nora Roberts, Lincoln Child
4. Return to Disney World — also done with my daughter. She was in her 30s and I was in my 50s — I was the kid…
